Quality and Integrity

Our mission statement reflects our basic philosophy about how we practice dentistry. It reads, “The team that works in this practice is comprised of individuals who are excited about what they do, are motivated to achieve results, have high standards of integrity, and who care about one another and our patients.” Following is some information about the people who comprise Dentistry by Design.

Dr. Scott K. Brecheisen

Dr. Scott K. Brecheisen has been practicing dentistry in Bartlesville for more than 20 years. He earned bachelor’s degrees in chemistry and philosophy from William Jewell College and his doctor of dental surgery degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City Dental School in 1984.

Dr. Brecheisen attends a number of continuing education courses, many of them at the prestigious Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies (LVI), and is listed as an LVI Preferred Dentist. He has been named one of America’s Top Dentists by the Consumers’ Research Council of America and is a member of the American Dental Association, the Oklahoma Dental Association and the Oklahoma Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.

“Dr. Brecheisen is on the cutting edge of new developments in dentistry,” says one staff member. “Integrity is also very important to him. He wants what’s best for his patients.”

In his spare time, Dr. Brecheisen is an avid golfer and volunteers as an assistant golf coach at Oklahoma Wesleyan College. He is also involved with a number of Christian organizations, and has made mission trips to Taiwan, Brazil and inner city Chicago. He serves on the board of Serving Humanity in Crisis in China.

Dr. Brecheisen is married to Cheryl and they have two daughters, Kara and Kelly.

Dr. Luke Lumpkin

Dr. Luke Lumpkin earned his undergraduate degree in health sciences from Southwestern Oklahoma State University in Weatherford and his doctor of dental surgery degree from the University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry. He is a member of the American Dental Association and the Academy of General Dentistry.

In his spare time, Dr. Lumpkin enjoys spending time with his family, playing golf and tennis, and most any outdoor activity. He and his wife, April, were married in 2001 and have a beautiful daughter, Grace. They are excited about their recent move to Bartlesville and look forward to becoming active in a new church and in the community.

Our Staff

Our staff also includes three highly skilled dental hygienists, who each have many years of experience as well as many hours of advanced continuing education courses; three chair side assistants who are certified in most expanded duties such as x-rays, nitrous oxide, sealants and fluoride treatment; and two front office coordinators who schedule appointments and handle insurance issues. All of the team have long-term experience in dentistry. They strive to make patients comfortable and to answer their questions.
